BIO

I was born in Richmond, VA and have an MFA in painting from the University of New Orleans, LA and my BA in Studio Art and English from the University of Richmond, VA.  I have been exhibiting work in galleries since 1983 and have had over 25 solo exhibitions. My work was featured in the film

sex lies and videotape in 1989. I was a resident at the Millay Colony in 1981.

I lived for a long time in the garden district of New Orleans and have been deeply influenced by the vibrant color, music and culture there. I now live in Asheville NC and I love painting this amazing landscape.

I am a Phoenix Rising Yoga therapist and Yoga teacher and specialize in embodied practices that promote presence and creativity.

I believe painting was my first introduction to meditation, and still my most accessible connection to spirit.
